Summer Fun and Special Visitors

Summer fun began a tea and a visit from Peaches Golding, the Lord Lieutenant. The students were excited to hear all about her role. June saw the Platinum Jubilee - we had a very special guest, The Lord Mayor of Bristol! Cakes and games were provided by the Friends of Hodgkin House and a great time had by all.

We also had another special guest a few weeks later, as our Patron, the Bishop of Bristol came to afternoon tea.

The Friends have also completed the last event of the year with the picnic on the Down, the sun came out that afternoon and the event was ended by one of the students playing his guitar.

It's been great to see old friends this year - we have had a visit from a student who used to live here from 2000 - 2007. She brought her family along to say hello too! We're now into Graduation, so some students have come back for a short stay and others have popped in to say 'hello'. We are now planning all the admissions for September and October, so we are looking forward to making new friends in the coming months!
