VISION AND VALUES
Our aim is to provide safe, comfortable and affordable accommodation to international and UK post graduate students.
Our logo depicts people from the ‘four corners of the world’ and we like to think that our community in Hodgkin House is one that is friendly, welcoming and supportive at all times of anyone who comes to stay with us.
We believe in the value of people from different countries and backgrounds coming together in a House where friendships are developed and forged for a lifetime.
So many of the students who have stayed at Hodgkin House have continued to be friends with people from all over the world and often return with their families to show them where they lived.
The origins of Hodgkin House can be found in the changing circumstances in the British Empire after the Second World War, and in the determination of Christians in Bristol to provide accommodation for overseas students as part of their vision of a better world.
"Unite in common friendship and purpose those who are keen to promote international friendship as the basis for world peace."
